NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON COUNTY BUDGET
In compliance with Texas Local Government Code §111.007, the Delta County Commissioners’ Court will conduct a Public Hearing on the Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2026, being the fiscal year beginning on October 1, 2025 and ending on September 30, 2026 on Tuesday, September 3, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. in the 3rd Floor Commissioners’ Courtroom in the Delta County Courthouse, located at 200 West Dallas Avenue, Cooper, Texas, 75432. This budget will raise less revenue from property taxes than last year's budget by an amount of $8,722, which is a 0.27% percent decrease from last year's budget. The property tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year is $4,571.00.
Any person may attend and participate in the hearings. All interested citizens are encouraged to
attend. The Commissioners Court shall consider acting on the adoption of the Proposed Budget at the September 9, 2025 regular meeting of the Commissioners’ Court at 9:00 a.m. A copy of the Proposed Budget is available for public inspection at the Office of the County/District Clerk during regular business hours, located at the Delta County Courthouse, 200 West Dallas Avenue, Cooper, Texas, 75432 or on Delta County’s website, by visiting https://www.deltacountytx.com/commissioners/page/budgets
